Frequently Asked Questions
How does the multi-load comparison work?
Enter shared assumptions once (operating cost per mile and dispatch fee), then fill in details for up to three loads. The calculator computes carrier net, net per mile, profit per hour, and deadhead percentage for each load, then identifies which load wins on each metric and provides a plain-language comparison summary.
What is the best economic balance rule?
The tool ranks loads by profit per operating hour, excluding any that fall below your target net per mile (if entered). Tiebreakers are highest carrier net, then highest net per total mile. This rule is visible and deterministic so you understand exactly how the recommendation is made.
Is Load C required?
No. Load A and Load B are required. Load C is optional. If you partially fill Load C but omit required fields like gross rate or loaded miles, the tool will show a validation error and not calculate Load C silently as zeros.
Can I compare loads with different dispatch fee structures?
The dispatch fee model (percentage or flat) applies to all loads in one comparison. To compare loads with different dispatch structures, run the tool twice with different fee settings and compare the results manually. All figures are estimates for your own planning only.
Running dispatch like an operator?
Dispatcher Command keeps multi-load comparisons, carrier economics, and rate floors in one workspace. Free to calculate. Built for dispatchers.
